Inside Brooklyn's Albany Manor the house was packed by 1am and the clash began promptly at approximately 1:45am. First to play was the sound out of Berlin, Supersonic. The audience was dead silent and no response. They pull the Buju and the crowd goes berserk. Next up was Barrier Free representing Osaka. Kosmick Movement out of Brooklyn opened the first round was head full of steam and drew a Wyclef Jean "I'm Going to Kill You in December" another tune was world is in trouble. When they played the Barrington Movement the place erupted. Synemax was a no show. King Addies took over. Barrier Free was the first sound voted off. Supersonic opened the second 15 minute round and flopped throughout the duration. What was billed as Global Clash apparently became the Battle for Brooklyn.
When the tune for tune came. It was Kosmick Movement versus King Addies. King Addies was victorious. Winning 4-0 on a King Kong dubplate. This led me to ask many unanswered questions. The first being if Synemax was present how would Addies fared? Was tune for tune actually necessary King Addies won all three rounds? If Andrew Digital had put a top contender in the clash who would have won? That's all for now. We definitely need more clashes in New York. Big up Andrew for having another successful event.

On 9.15.2011 Carlton 'Ghost' Hylton with his wondrous voice invited members of the respected press to his press launch party at the Link Up Media Headquarters in Manhattan for his widely acclaimed album entitled Ghost Stories It features seventeen new tracks with ten being his original works, while seven of the songs being covers. 'Baby Come Over' is deemed to be the first hit track off of the album.
First up Ghost goes on the air live to do an interview and sing a samples from the album. The Bobby Shakes team was invited into the Link Up Radio radio booth for Ghost's on air interview.
This was followed by a listening party in which all of his classics were played extensively. After some time Ghost with his corn rows unraveled and dark sunglasses sat next to David "Squeeze" Annakie CEO of Link UP Media to introduce his new album. He welcomed the crowd to ask questions at the end of his speech and I asked about some of his stage antics. He is quite a remarkable performer and everyone should get the opportunity to witness his live performance to get a full effect of all he has to offer. To finish it off he even sings a few songs off of the album. I grand time was had by all in attendance food and drinks were in abundance. Despite the raging winds blowing outside a fun time was had inside. We will definitely have to catch Ghost on a highly anticipated upcoming tour which is in the near future. Ghost who was bred from the Monster Shack Crew will have a blossoming message for all listeners both old and new on this album.
